According to 'Lajnah Imaillah Indonesia: 1983-2004' book, this mosque is built in 1979, and its name is given by Maulana H. Mahmood Ahmad Cheema, the Indonesian Missionary-in-Charge at that time. This mosque is the centre of Padang Jamaat, one of oldest chapter in Indonesia.
