The mosque will be named Maryum Mosque (Mary Mosque). The first Mosque in Ireland by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association will inshAllah be inaugurated later this year by his holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifa tul Masih V. The project consisted of the construction of a Mosque and store with associated site works. Works on the mosque comprised of a single story building with an open upper floor. The building comprised of offices, toilets, halls and a double height prayer room. The building also included two zinc covered domes. A large dome over the main prayer hall, and a smaller dome over the eight sided minaret which is a common feature in Muslim Architecture.

Redevelopment Plan

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association intend to redevelop the Gressenhall Road site. This is a long term project and might take up to 5 years to complete.The local council has granted the planning permission for the Project to go ahead. Work however has not started yet.

 Foundation stone for this mosque in Friedberg, Hessen was laid by Khalifa tul Masih the 5th on the 29th of May 2012. The photo above shows the land on which was acquired by the Jamaat for the mosque to be built and completed inshAllah in 2014. The mosque has been completed and his holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the 5th Khalifa of the Promised Messiah (AS) inaugurated the Darul Amaan Moschee on Saturday the 8th of June 2014. This Mosque was prefabricated to save money and time.
