Foundation stone for the first Ahmadiyya Mosque in Brazil was laid on Friday the 7th of June 2014. The Baitul Awal Mosque is the first Ahmadiyya Mosque located in Petropolis, a town located north of Rio de Janerio. The Mosque lies in the steep hills of Petropolis. The foundation stone was laid by Maulana Mubarak Nazir (missionary in charge Canada) on 7th June 2014. It was inaugurated in 2017.
